John Luckadoo was a young man when he was called into service during WWII. John would serve in an USAF Air Corp famously known as the Bloody One Hundredth. The 100th Bomb Group gained the reputation as the 'Bloody Hundredth' due to the heavy losses they suffered. On their first mission alone the 100th Bomb Group lost three planes and thirty men.

KD worked with John to design a memorial to be located in Dallas that would tell the story of the men and honor their legacy.
