Like so many North Texas communities, Colleyville was once a rural community known for farming. As Dallas grew and its population grew, rural areas gave way to suburban communities. McPherson Fram was one of the last dairy farms in Colleyville. When the family sold the McPherson farm, the city of Colleyville purchased a select parcel of the once sprawling farm to preserve along with numerous farm buildings.

Colleyville Parks contracted Kaser Design (KD) to design and deliver an interpretive sign package. The sign package included signs on the following: family history, community history, and dairy farming.
