Grapevine, Texas like so many cities in Texas has grown and evolved over the last few decades. New parks created, old parks improved, signs put up as needed. The resulting city wide signage and graphics package has few standards if any and simply does not adequately reflect the people and standards of the community. Working directly with Park and Recreation department, KD was task with modernizing city park signs, establish graphic standards, and increase effectiveness.
Rather than making the wholesale decision to abandon everything existing, Kaser Design first assessed all existing conditions to determine what could be saved and repurposed. Total scope of work addressed the following sign types; primary park marquee, secondary, rules, vehicle & pedestrian wayfinding, facility ID, trail, and 911 location signs. Graphic standards addressed sizes, color schemes, fonts, logo use, and brand rules.
