Summertime in Texas means cooling down by floating the Comal River in New Braunfels. Because so many people believe this, New Braunfels not only became an resort and destination town, the city parks and recreation department was strained to effectively communicate use guidelines to the masses.
Kaser Design was awarded the project to provide a comprehensive use sign program for the Comal River experience. Total scope of work ranged from the creation of maps to sign standards for parking, park identification, safety, park & river rules as well as branding. Working directly with Park and Recreation department as well as Comal River Coordinator, KD was task with creating a new city-wide program. New program would make use of existing conditions where possible and abandon all elements and start anew in other conditions. Entire program covered several miles from start to finish.
