The Oak Cliff Nature Preserve (OCNP) consists of 121 acres and is part of Five Mile Creek. It includes riparian, prairie, and mixed hardwood forest areas. The area is open to the public for hiking and mountain biking on designated trails, birding, observing wildlife in an urban wilderness, and enjoying natural areas. The preserve is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife habitats, native plant communities, and scenic landscapes through natural resource management.
Kaser Design (KD) was brought on to add an interpretive program for the site. The total package of deliverables included two trailhead signs, one for mountain bike trails and a second dedicated to the natural story. Additional signs included trail wayfinding.
