Work may begin immediately upon award of contract. Phases and tasks are structured to work from the broad to the specific. Each task builds upon the results of the previous. Approvals are required for each submittal prior to the beginning of the next phase.

Phase 1: Project launch - A project launch will initiate work and facilitate an exchange of general and specific discussions of ideas. We encourage owners to create a “wish list.” Many times our visions are adaptations of specific things we have seen and/or experienced. Providing a wish list can facilitate greater efficiency and effective work.
Phase 1 tasks:

Acquire all source material
Review interpretive objective for each display
General discussion and idea sharing

Phase 2: Concept Design – This phase has two distinct goals: create solutions for individual components as well as the collective whole. With as many ways to tell a story as there are people, we feel it is our job to conceive viable solutions and allow you to choose. Concepts will explore viable approaches, methods and techniques to achieve the projects goals and objectives. Although we make recommendations, the final decision is always the customer’s.
Phase 2 tasks:

Space and facility planning
Individual component conceptual design
Scenario narrative and/or scripting
2 and 3 dimensional design and styling

Phase 3: Design Development - Development will proceed once a single approach, method and technique are agreed upon. Development consists of incorporating revisions, additions, equipment constraints, production requirements, budgets and any other parameters requiring consideration. This phase is a pivotal point marking the end of expansion; it sets future emphasis on narrowing down details of execution. Project management will ensure good communication, correspondence, documentation, scheduling, budgeting and quality control. Once this phase is complete, components are ready for final design and production.
Phase 3 tasks

Final development of space and facility planning
Final development of selected components
Specific selection of equipment, images, methods, techniques
Final operation scenarios, scripts 2 and 3 dimensional design

Phase 4: Final Design and Construction Documentation – This phase consists of information, files, and source material for production. Documentation will emphasize clear communication of the commonalities and distinctions of all components and conditions. This is the time to catch last minute revisions and input.
Phase 4 tasks

Final Design
Prepare all documents for production

Phase 5: Production - Production activities on multi-discipline, multi-technique projects vary tremendously. Production can include everything from building construction, millwork, filming, soundtracks, illustration, graphic production and equipment procurement. Regardless of specifics, our project management activities conducted by email, fax, phone and visitations will track, coordinate, monitor, document, and control using: schedules, transmittals, meeting minutes, presentations and milestone reviews. When reviews or approvals are needed, all required parties will be alerted with ample preparation time to be available, assimilate the content and respond. Approvals must be made prior to proceeding on to the next phase.
Phase 5 tasks

Demolition, construction, fabrication, and/or production
Acquisitions and/or procurement
Project management; quality control, documentation, site visitations and correspondence

Phase 6: Implementation – Depending if the item is onsite constructed, such as a building, or off-site fabricated, implementation brings all components together to become a working whole. Depending on the complexity of the work, implementation can last from several hours to two weeks. Once complete, we spend time with the owner to familiarize and train them on operation and up-keep.
Phase 6 tasks

In house testing
Owner approval prior to installation
Installation
Training and follow up
